8 Celebrities Who Have Quit Smoking
Celebrities are human, too! It might not be a surprise that the fast-paced, high-stress life of politicians, movie stars, and other public figures often turn out to be smokers. However, it seems like there just as many celebrity ex-smokers.
Barack Obama – Quitting smoking is hard, and it can feel very isolating. If you’re trying to quit right now, think about the fact that as you’re having a craving, the President of the United States could be too.
Gwyneth Paltrow – The actress turned health guru was once a pack a day smoker, and though she admits to smoking socially from time to time, she gave up her habit cold turkey when she found out she was pregnant with her first daughter.
Charlize Theron – Charlize Theron, the bombshell actress and star of the recent Mad Max reboot, used to smoke two to three packs a day until she quit with the help of hypnotherapy.
Sir Anthony Hopkins – The celebrated actor quit smoking using the Allen Carr method. We don’t know what’s creepier, Sir Hopkins’ portrayal of Hannibal Lecter in Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal, or all the gross stuff that’s inside of combustible cigarettes.
Ben Affleck & Matt Damon – These two may have made their dual film debut in Goodwill Hunting over 15 years ago, but to us they still go together like sweet and sour vape flavours. Like their fellow Oscar-winner, Charlize Theron, they used hypnosis to quit.
Brad Pitt – Rounding up our list is heartthrob, Brad Pitt, who quit smoking in 2009 for his kids. Although he’s been snapped by paps while smoking a cig a couple times in recent years, we’re sure he’s working hard to keep his habit kicked just like all of us regular folks.
