If the health and financial benefits of quitting smoking aren’t enough motivation for you, and especially if you have a competitive spirit, you might want to try this method. One example is making a bet with a friend that if you smoke, you owe them $1,000 like this person did.
We might opt for the hypnotists’ couch or a bag of shrooms over this one, but many people swear by the baking soda method of quitting. Every time you have a craving, simply mix a tablespoon of baking soda with a glass of water and rinse your mouth with it.
Hide your cigs, especially somewhere dirty
As the old saying goes, “out of sight, out of mind.” Many people find it useful to tuck their cigs away somewhere that’s hard to get to, which curbs the desire to smoke.
